Prevention

  • Prevent cancer occurrence in children wherever possible through proactive risk reduction.

  • Reduce the financial burden families face from diagnosis and treatment.

  • Minimize long-term treatment harms and protect survivors’ lifelong health.

  • Address environmental and lifestyle risks that impact children over time.

  • Support the psychosocial well-being of children and their families with a 360° prevention approach.

Research

  • Focus on high-impact childhood cancer research that meaningfully advances outcomes.

  • Prioritize innovative, forward-thinking studies that can move the field ahead.

  • Use limited resources strategically for maximum benefit.

  • Avoid duplicative funding by targeting gaps and unmet needs.

  • Maintain an outcome-driven approach rather than incremental progress.

Education

  • Empower families through education that enables informed action, not just awareness.

  • Provide parental guidance to ease treatment, survivorship, and caregiving challenges.

  • Build confidence in underserved communities by explaining access to life-saving care.

  • Train childhood cancer experts to include psychosocial and financial support in care.

  • Educate professionals beyond the field to expand the workforce delivering tailored support to children, survivors, and families.

Programs

  • Design solution-focused programs that address real challenges faced by children and families.

  • Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and families in a team-driven approach.

  • Develop programs informed by insights from the lab, clinic, legislature, and lived experience.

  • Promote innovative programming to advance childhood cancer care and survivorship.

  • Aim to enhance the quality of life for children and their families.
